Experience
At the beginning of my career, I worked for a prominent, Peoria manufacturing company, where I managed short-term foreign currency exposure and then moved to a position of overseeing management of the company's pension assets. I also worked for their independent advisory firm where I helped create the Preferred Group family of mutual funds and also managed a small-cap equity and U.S. government securities portfolio. I have been with DVI since 1993.

Tell us about your career journey and what led you to choose DVI:
The opportunity to leave Caterpillar and all of their cushy benefits in 1993, with a pregnant wife and a two-year-old daughter in tow, made perfect sense. Thirty years later it seems to be working out OK.
What are the values that drive you in your professional and personal life?
Do the right thing at all times even if it's to your own disadvantage. Helping others and being humble in our work, is what we are called to do.
What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
I enjoy fishing, hunting, bicycling, gardening, and spending time with family — not necessarily in that order.
